HAVE YOU EVER HEAR ABOUT SHINRIN-YOKU ?
Reconnecting with nature may seem simple… Practicing Shinrin Yoku will improve your wellbeing !
Bernadette Rey, founder and certified guide
Shinrin Yoku is a Japanese expression meaning “immersion in the forest environment”.
Very popular in Japan, it’s a slow, contemplative walk, over a short distance of around 2 @ 3 km in the forest, on easy paths, and facilitated by a trained guide.
The walk is punctuated by invitations to connect with nature and yourself, through your senses. Appreciate the sounds, smells and sensations of nature that will bring you a sense of achievement, giving you deep serenity.
A tea ceremony and snack will complete your walk.
Shinrin Yoku is renowned for its many physical and psychological health benefits:
- Reduced stress and anxiety
- Improved mood
- Strengthened immune system
- Improved quality of sleep
- Reduced blood pressure
